The General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions has awarded Development of Treatment Technologies the remodeling of the La Moraleja Penitentiary Center, located in the T.M. of Dueñas (Palencia).

The Center has an old WWTP, built in 1997. Much of its equipment has already exceeded its useful life, which makes it difficult to meet the quality objectives imposed by the Duero Hydrographic Confederation. The sludge line also has an obsolete process of drying by means of threads.

DTD will carry out a comprehensive reform of the Plant, renovating most of the water and sludge line equipment, and reconfiguring the biological process to allow nitrogen removal.

The plant is designed for a total population of 1,600 equivalent inhabitants, adding inmates and civil servants.
